Walking the Crossroads with Hecate

The Goddess of witchcraft, Crossroads, and Transformation

Last night’s class felt like magic in motion. Lexi and I both felt such a deep connection to what we were teaching—it’s not every day you get to talk about a goddess you both love and work with regularly. Hecate has played such a huge role in our journeys as witchy educators, and we know she’s been there for so many of you, too. It feels only right to dedicate our first blog post to her.

Why Hecate?

Hecate is one of those goddesses who shows up when you need her most—when you’re standing at a crossroads and wondering which way to go. She doesn’t tell you what to do or hold your hand. Instead, she lights the way just enough for you to take the next step. That’s what makes her so perfect for beginners. She doesn’t expect you to have it all figured out. She meets you exactly where you are.

We talked about this a lot last night—how Hecate doesn’t demand fancy rituals or grand devotion. She’s patient, steady, and wise. She nudges you to trust your intuition and take ownership of your path. It’s like she’s saying, “You’ve got this. I’m here to guide you, but the work is yours to do.”

One of the most beautiful things about Hecate is how approachable she is. Whether you’re a witchling just starting out or someone looking for guidance during a life shift, she’s there. And she doesn’t ask for much—just your willingness to show up.

Here are some simple ways to honor her:

  • Light a Candle: At dusk, light a candle and take a moment to connect with her. It doesn’t have to be elaborate—just you, her, and a quiet moment.
  • Leave an Offering: Bread, garlic, honey, or even a heartfelt “thank you” at a crossroads during the dark moon.
  • Use Her Symbols: Carry a key or place one on your altar. It’s a small but powerful reminder of her presence and protection.

The Temporary and the Transformative

Something we touched on last night that really resonated was how Hecate often shows up during times of transition. She’s often not a lifelong deity, and that’s okay. Her role is to help you find your footing when things feel uncertain. She’s there to guide you, empower you, and then step back so you can walk your path confidently.

For some of us, she’s a constant, always in the background, ready to be called on during tough times or to assist others. For others, she’s a goddess we return to in cycles—when we’re at a crossroads and need her wisdom. Either way, her impact stays with you long after your direct work with her ends.

From Us to You

Hecate has been a mentor, guide, and protector in both of our lives. She’s taught us how to trust ourselves, embrace the unknown, and find strength in both the light and the dark. Last night, it was incredible to see so many of you connect with her energy and find those same lessons for yourselves.

If you’ve been feeling her pull, trust it. She’s not the kind of goddess to call you without reason. Start small, listen to your intuition, and let her light guide you. Whether she’s with you for a season or a lifetime, her lessons stay with you.

We’re so grateful to have shared this experience with all of you and can’t wait to see where your journeys with Hecate take you. If you missed the class or want to talk about your experiences, we’d love to work with you one-on-one to explore her energy and guidance more personally. Reach out anytime to book a session or to ask questions—we’re here to support you on your path.

Hecate’s torches are always burning, ready to light the way for those who seek her. Thank you for letting us walk this journey with you. 🕯️✨
