There is an old instinct that says you sweep the house clean before you let a new year into it.

Brooms have always carried that job. They were given as housewarming gifts and wedding gifts, laid down for couples to jump, set across doorways to keep out what was not welcome, and taken to the floors in the last days of the year to turn out everything the old one left behind. A handmade broom is a tool and a blessing in the same object.

Join Janine Russell of Boujee Broom Company to make your own from the ground up, just in time for Yule. This is real broommaking, bristles bound to handle by your own hands, the way it has been done for generations.

During our time together you will explore:

🌲 The folk history of the broom, from threshold guardian to wedding gift
🌲 Choosing your materials and understanding how a broom is actually built
🌲 Binding, wrapping, and finishing your broom with Janine's guidance
🌲 Yule and midwinter traditions of sweeping out the old year
🌲 How to bless your broom and where to keep it once it is yours

Every ticket includes all materials and a handmade broom to carry home. These make exceptional gifts, but that’s only if you can bear to part with yours.

No experience necessary.

The body and soul balm is WONDERFUL. It’s a must for in my nightstand drawer. Feeling overwhelmed or stressed? Rub it in your hands, put your hands in front of your face, take a couple deep breaths. It’s magic. Headache? Rub some of its magical goodness on your temples and sinuses. Chest cold? Rub that stuff on your chest instead of traditional vapor rub. It was the only way I could sleep when I was sick. Broken body or born in the 1900’s? Rub it on the areas that ache before bed and wake up feeling relief

It was a life saver when I was in physical therapy for my SI joint problems!
