Pumpkins have guarded doorsteps for centuries, long before anyone thought of them as decoration.
The practice came over with carved turnips, set in windows and at gates with a light inside to turn back whatever was wandering on the nights when the veil went thin. The gourd changed when the tradition crossed the ocean. The job it was doing did not.
Fall Witch Craft Night is an evening of putting that old job back into the pumpkin on your porch. We will talk through the folklore, go over protective sigils and symbols and what each one is actually asking for, and then paint.
During our time together you will explore:
🎃 The folklore of carved gourds, turnips, and the lights left in windows
🎃 Protective symbols and sigils, and how to choose the ones that fit your home
🎃 Painting your pumpkin with intention rather than decoration
🎃 Charging it and placing it so it does its work at your threshold
Every ticket includes a pumpkin, paints, and everything else you need. You leave with a guardian for your doorstep.
No experience necessary.
